An AA District Grapevine Coordinator (or Representative, GVR) links the AA Grapevine magazine (the international journal of AA) with local groups, promoting subscriptions, distributing materials (print/digital), encouraging members to share stories, and providing information on recovery resources, acting as a key service link to keep the fellowship connected and informed about the “meeting in print”.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote Subscriptions: Encourage individuals and groups to subscribe to the Grapevine and La Viña (Spanish version).
- Share Information: Keep groups and districts informed about Grapevine offerings, products, and events, often through monthly reports at district meetings.
- Encourage Contributions: Motivate members to submit their stories, poems, and experiences to the magazine.
- Distribute Materials: Ensure groups have access to magazines, display materials, and other literature.
- Connect with Wider Service: Attend area meetings, assemblies, and workshops to share ideas and resources with other Grapevine coordinators.
